在透射电镜下观察不同发育期日本血吸虫尾蚴的腺体。结果:胚球期(S2)主要出现体细胞分裂与分化,首次证明分泌细胞及其小体在S2出现,雏体期(S3)见到前钻腺细胞体与钻腺管束及分泌小体。成熟前期(S4)钻腺分泌小体基质分A/B为主两型,分别演变为成熟期(S)5的后/前钻腺分泌小体。头腺分泌小体亦在S4出现。从前钻腺体排至头器远端腺管的分泌小体,显眼透明球消失成为致密同质性小体,已为大家共识。而在后钻腺 相似文献

A index for monitoring the trophic status of rivers based on diatom composition (‚trophic diatom index’, TDI) has been developed,
in response to the National Rivers Authority (England & Wales)'s needs under the terms of the Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive
of the European Community. The index is based on a suite of 86 taxa selected both for their indicator value and ease of identification.
When tested on a dataset from 70 sites free of significant organic pollution, this index was more highly correlated with aqueous
P concentrations than previous diatom indices. However, where there was heavy organic pollution, it was difficult to separate
the effects of eutrophication from other effects. For this reason, the value of TDI is supplemented by an indication of the
proportion of the sample that is composed of taxa tolerant to organic pollution.
The index was tested on the R. Browney, N-E. England, above and below a major sewage discharge. TDI values indicated that
the effect of inorganic nutrients on the river downstream of the discharge was slight as the river was already nutrient-rich,
but there was a large increase in the proportion of organic pollution-tolerant taxa. This indicates that the river was already
so eutrophic upstream of the discharge that tertiary treatment to remove P would not be effective unless other aspects of

The spectrum of lectin binding sites as it emerges during embryonic development of Drosophila was analysed by means of fluorescein-labelled lectins. As development and morphogenesis proceed, the reaction pattern becomes more and more complex. Mannose/glucose-, mannose-, N-acetylglucosamine- and poly-N-ace-tylglucosamine-specific lectins bind ubiquitously. Nuclear envelopes only have binding sites for wheat germ agglutinin. N-acetylgalactosamine-binding lectins are specific for ectodermal derivatives. Ga-3-N-acetylgalac-tosamine-binding lectins are highly selective markers for neural structures, haemocytes and Garland cells. It is also shown that Drosophila laminin is differentially glycosylated. Protein-carbohydrate interactions are supposed to play key roles in the mechanisms of cell adhesion, biosignalling and intracellular routing, warranting the analysis of the developmental course of expression of epitopes of this system. Thus, a panel of carrier-immobilized carbohydrate ligands was used as probes, namely lactose,N-acetylgalactosamine,N-acetylglucosamine, mannose, fucose and maltose. Additionally, an antibody to an endogenous -galactoside-binding lectin (anti-galectin-1), the biotinylated lectin and two further human lectins, namely the macrophage migration inhibitory factor-binding sarcolectin and serum amyloid P component (SAP) that displays selectivity for sulphated sugars and mannose-6-phosphate, were included. They enabled us to assess the extent of the presence of respective binding sites in fixed sections from human lungs (pulmonary epithelial cells), livers (hepatocytes) and hearts (myocard cells) of 10–50 weeks gestation. Invariably, specific binding was detected in the three organ types, at least in certain stages. In most of the cases, the intensity of staining exhibited developmental regulation. The apparent patterns reveal similarities between the different cell types, as seen with immobilizedN-acetylglucosamine as well as with labelled galectin-1 and sarcolectin. However, drastic differences among such patterns with nearly opposite developmental courses do also occur, as detected for carrier-attached mannose and maltose residues. These results point to a potential importance for the detected glycohistochemical features in human development and substantiate the possibility of differential regulation of the presence of binding sites for distinct sugars within a certain organ and between the individual cell types of the monitored organs. 相似文献

HMG17 protein is shown to greatly facilitate the catention of double-stranded DNA rings catalyzed by DNA topoisomerases. Even at low DNA concentrations such that catenanes are not observable in the absence of HMG17, the addition of the protein promotes the catenation of greater than 95% of the input DNA into networks that do not enter the gel upon electrophoresis. Electron microscopy and restriction enzyme cleavage experiments indicate that these networks are large structures containing many catenated DNA rings. The HMG17-promoted DNA network formation has been observed with calf thymus type II DNA topoisomerase and the type I topoisomerases of Escherichia coli, Micrococcus luteus, and calf thymus. 相似文献

An experimental model of protein calorie malnutrition (PCM) was created in young rhesus monkeys. Ulnar and tibial nerves from six monkeys with PCM, six rehabilitated and 12 control monkeys were studied for lipid composition and activity of myelin marker enzyme. Total lipids, myelin marker lipids and activity of myelin marker enzyme, 2', 3'-cyclic nucleotide 3' - phosphohydrolase were decreased, while esterified cholesterol and free fatty acids were increased in PCM as compared to controls. Summary Development of the axon cap neuropil of the Mauthner neuron in post-hatching larval goldfish brains was observed electron-microscopically. The axonal initial segment of newly hatched (day-4) larvae is completely covered with synaptic terminals containing clear spherical synaptic vesicles. Profiles of thin terminal axons, the spiral fibers, containing similar synaptic vesicles, rapidly increase in number around the initial segment and form glomerular neuropil similar to the central core of the adult axon cap by day 7. Three types of synapses are formed in the core neuropil. Bouton-type synapses contacting the initial segment are most abundant in day-4 to-14 larvae; they decrease thereafter and are rare on the distal half of the initial segment of day-40 larvae. Asymmetric axo-axonic synapses are commonly observed between spiral fibers in the core neuropil of day-7 to -19 larvae, but become fewer by day 40. Unique symmetrical axo-axonic synapses showing accumulation of synaptic vesicles on either side of apposed membrane thickenings first appear in day-14 core neuropil, gradually increase in number, and become the predominant type in day-40 core neuropil. Thick myelinated axons, which lose their myelin sheaths in the glial cap cell layer, start to penetrate into the axon cap on day 10. They gradually increase in number and form the peripheral part of the axon cap together with the cap dendrites, which finally grow into the axon cap from the axon hillock region of the Mauthner cell by day 40. 相似文献

Summary The developmental profile of the major haemolymph proteins (ceratitins) inCeratitis capitata was studied. Ceratitin concentration in the haemolymph decreases dramatically during the last days of pupal life, while the amounts of ceratitins in whole organism extracts remain unchanged. By electrophoretic, immunological and immunofluorescence techniques it was revealed that ceratitins are reabsorbed by the fat body and a fraction of them is deposited in the cuticle. Summary Crude, cell-free protein-synthesizing systems were prepared from follicles of two different stages of development in the ovariole of the silkmothAntherea pernyi. The efficiency of the translation of natural and synthetic mRNAs in these systems was compared with that in a cell-free wheat germ system. A postmitochondrial extract (S-30) from the follicles almost completely inhibited protein synthesis in a polyribosome-dependent, cell-free systems. A specific ribonuclease, obtained from the post mitochondrial extract by ammonium sulphate precipitation, heat denaturation and DEAE-cellulose chromatography, inhibited polyribosome-dependent protein synthesis. The effect of this specific ribonuclease on the structural integrity of radioactive RNAs and ribosomal subunits, which were isolated from Ehrlich ascites tumor cells, was also studied. 相似文献

The morphology of the antennal hair-sensilla of Periplaneta americana, their distribution and frequency on the antennal flagellum have been examined by transmission- and scanning-electron microscopy. The types of sensilla were distinguished with respect to physiologically relevant criteria such as wall structure and number of sensory cells. Among the sensilla of the antenna of the adult male, long, single-walled sensilla with four sensory cells (types sw B), Probably responsible for reception of sexual pheromones, are most frequent, representing about 54% of the antennal sensilla. About half of these sensilla are newly-formed at the imaginal ecdysis; the other half are derived from the shorter type sw B sensilla of the nymphal antenna. Short type sw B sensilla are present in all larval stages of both sexes and in adult females as well. During the imaginal ecdysis of males, however, the length of these sensilla increases to double that found in nymphs. Dendritic branches also increase in number. During postembryonic development, the number of sensory fibers in the antennal flagellum increases nearly 20-fold, from 14,000 in the first larval instar to about 270,000 in the adult male.
